I specialize in helping small to mid-size companies in all types of industries establish and develop their technology resources. Often, companies are too small to have a dedicated IT department, or even just a resident "guru". I can help with any size project, short term or long term, also on-site if needed.
I am the founder of Softel vdm, Inc., which has been developing and publishing developer tools since 1994. I have also developed MyTinyTV in 2005 (a TV media streaming solution), designed and implemented the WEO Report service and worked on EA's Madden and NCAA Football video games.
I often find new business needs and implement an in-house solution before these become commercially or publicly available anywhere in the marketplace. For example, in early 2000, Softel vdm, Inc. implemented product activation ahead of the rest of the industry. Documentation, help file, printed manual generators were developed in 1999 (Microsoft's Sandcastle and similar tools became available only many years later). We developed application installers for native 64-bit applications on the Itanium platform, before the "big players" had anything that wasn't based on 32-bit applications.
Whatever your company's technology needs are, let me know - I am sure I can help you. Whether you are looking for a long-term partnership or just need a project completed in hurry, call me to discuss your requirements.
Even in today's web-centric world, there is still the need for applications running solely on the desktop platform - disconnected or rarely connected to the Internet. Or maybe, a business application is integrated with a desktop platform like Microsoft Office. Often it may be cheaper (and faster) to upgrade an aging desktop application, rather than re-architecting it as a web application. I have over 20 years of desktop development experience, in mainstream languages (C, C++, C#, VB, VB.NET) and current development tools, like Visual Studio. Contact me today for your desktop projects.

Websites are no longer just a few pages of static content - Instead, visitors expect a full featured site, complementing your business offerings. For example, restaurants and tourist attractions need to offer merchandising options, complete with online purchases using major credit cards. In addition, you may attract customers and prospects to your site by offering an online forum for users to meet, to discuss your products and services, to ask questions, etc. Each business has unique requirements - contact me to discuss yours now.
